Woodcarving Alice Ridgway-6332.jpg

Alice Ridgway is a woodcarver and gilder trained in the classical tradition at City & Guilds Art School, London.

Inspired by the everyday crafts of vernacular and folk carving, her work celebrates the idiosyncratic marks of wood grain, the human hand and chisel.

Alice also undertakes traditional and contemporary woodcarving commissions, including sculpture, lettering and functional household items.
